The schedules
How each schedule works
Three mornings
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 to 12:30. The shortest week, and the way most three-year-olds begin.
Snack at the log table
Home by lunch
Five mornings
Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 12:30. The same morning every day, so the garden jobs and the trail loop come around more often.
Every school morning
Home by lunch
Long days
Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 to 3:00, for four-year-olds. Families send lunch from home, and the afternoon is slower and quieter.
Lunch from home
A rest and a project
The indoor base
A classroom at the edge of the grove
On wet, windy or smoky mornings the group moves to the indoor base, a classroom with a light table, easels, a reading corner and a coat room with a long bench. Teachers and children plan the morning the same way, and the day keeps its shape. The adults for each group, from the state's license, are on the safety page.
